By happenstance, the trio materialized in the year Kashton's grandfather established the tonsorial parlor. They were back in the warehouse again, but there were no antiques from the mansion. Rolls of carpet and foam from a carpet store were piled high in the newly opened rental space. They entered the shop and Kashton was surprised how it looked the same all his life except for the saw-toothed fish on the wall that wasn't added until the 1980s, when man-boys came to the shop to get their hair feathered and just down the road there was a shopping center with a real live gorilla.
After adjusting the thermostat to a more tepid 67 degrees, "Always wanted to do that. Do they sell mousse here or do we have to go to 1983?" the tween found the spare key to the front door in its usual spot.
