The disheartened scientist said, "While sailing through the Bermuda Triangle on his first voyage to the New World, Christopher Columbus wrote in his ship's log that he observed stars which appeared to dance around in the sky. I used to believe in magic."
"Come on Professor, my four-wheel drive is over here!" Janaki called.
Binoculars, a metal detector, and pick-axe were the only tools that Dr. Payne took time to bring. "Shotgun!" she called with renewed confidence jumping into the passenger seat. Janaki pulled the magnetic sign off the roof to put it on the back seat and off they went down Observatory Drive to undertake in their astronomical expedition. Tail lights of the panel van were visible up ahead racing in the direction of the fallen star. Suddenly the modular vehicle stopped where the curving road hugged the shoreline. The professor could see through her field glasses that the unknown contenders were inflating a hovercraft to take a shortcut across the bay to the sandy peninsula.
