The girl spent much of the next day searching for clues about the prospector. She looked though goggles while piloting a remote control drone with an integrated video camera for an aerial view of the outdoor museum of mining and agricultural technology. The little machine buzzed over Skinflint's Mine Train, a rickety roller coaster that looked like it could come apart at any moment. A sudden gust of wind jostled the headset and blew a gold pan from its shelf at the Pan For Gold Adventure water slide attraction where vacationers hunkered down beside a fake stream looking for flakes of fools gold. With a stunned expression on her face, Arcelia watched the beveled tin dish roll on its edge seeming to have a will of its own across the gravel parking lot straight toward her until it bumped into her leg toppling over. She stood petrified, and then heard the distant voice of her uncle giving another tour.

"This is my great-grandfather's deed to Molson," he boasted while holding up the property title. "Gold-diggers that fell victim to gold fever aiming to strike it rich were not happy and Great-Gran'Pappy even had to run off one claim jumping desperado."

Arcelia realized it must be the deed that bound the trespassing specter to this place. If she could destroy the contract the spirit would float on.
