The thrill-seeking paranormal investigative team ventured to the side of the unattended home where a firewood chute led to the cellar. The doors of the opening hung askew on their hinges throwing dusty beams of light into the dingy basement. Einar was last to slide down to the dank room. He looked around, but the other ghost getters were nowhere in sight. The door at the top of the stairs closed.
"G-guys?" Einar stumbled into some shelves. A cobweb-covered blanket stored on top fell over him. "AAAAHH!" the startled boy detective yelled. Bursts of blue light flashed onto his darkened features.
